What to write to us about

• Calculator problems: tell us which browser and device you used, what you entered and what you expected. A screenshot helps.
• Content corrections: if a statement on a page looks wrong or out of date, point us to the page and, if you can, to an official source.
• Privacy requests: to ask what information we hold about you, or to ask for correction or deletion, write to the email above with "Privacy" in the subject line. See the privacy policy.
• General feedback: ideas for guides, new inputs or clearer explanations are useful to us.

What we cannot do

We cannot give personal investment, tax, legal, lending or real estate advice, review your specific property or contractor bid, or tell you whether to buy. For those questions, please talk to a licensed professional in your area, such as a CPA, an attorney, a lender or a real estate agent. Please do not send sensitive personal data such as bank account numbers, Social Security numbers or passwords by email.

Bug reports and corrections

The fastest way to help us fix a problem is to include the exact numbers you entered and the result you saw. If a page cites a figure or rule that appears to have changed, tell us which page and, if possible, link the official source. We would rather correct a page than leave an outdated statement up.

Before you write

A few details make a reply much more useful. For a calculator question, include the five values you entered and the result you saw. For a content correction, quote the sentence in question. For a privacy request, say which right or action you are asking about. We will not ask you for financial account details, and you should not send them.

Response time

We read every message but cannot promise a particular response time. Privacy requests are handled as quickly as we reasonably can.
